WHAT IS KAMBO?
Kambo is a secretion from the Monkey Tree Frog, that resides in the upper region of the Amazon Rainforest basin. Kambo secretion is not a poison or a venom, the secretion is used by the frogs as a deterrent from potential predators. Many tribes within the Amazon have been using Kambo for thousands of years, such as; the Matses, Kaxinawa and Yawanawa tribes. The tribal communities use Kambo for many reasons; to warn off bad spirits/energies, to clear bad luck, infections, fertility and immunity.
Kambo is used by the Matses, Kaxinawa, and Yawanawa tribes of the Amazon rainforest for a variety of purposes, including:
