WHAT DOES KAMBO TREAT?
Kambo is a traditional healing practice that originated in the Amazon rainforest. It involves the application of a secretion from the skin of the giant monkey frog (Phyllomedusa bicolor) to the skin of the person receiving the treatment. The secretion contains a number of bioactive compounds that have a variety of therapeutic effects.
Kambo has been used by the Matses, Kaxinawa, and Yawanawa tribes of the Amazon rainforest for a variety of purposes, including:
